Role Responsibilities

  • Support installation, preventive maintenance, emergency repairs, and modifications of facility and automation systems, including conveyor, electrical, mechanical, and building infrastructure.
  • Assist in evaluating equipment performance and recommending upgrades to minimize downtime and improve reliability.
  • Apply technical expertise to maintain and enhance both short- and long-term functionality of facilities and automation equipment.
  • Monitor equipment performance and ensure operations align with validated parameters and CMMS documentation to meet quality standards.
  • Contribute to productivity, efficiency, cost control, and product quality through equipment-related recommendations.
  • Follow SOPs and collaborate with Leads, Supervisors, or Managers to guide maintenance operations and support team development.
  • Partner with the maintenance team to implement reliability-focused methods and troubleshoot equipment issues.
  • Document inspections, repairs, and failures accurately in the CMMS system.
  • Participate in equipment assessments, trial runs, investigative tests, and semi-complex maintenance tasks.
  • Support and mentor less experienced technicians in troubleshooting and maintaining equipment and tools.
  • Identify and report equipment failures, recommending corrective actions to restore performance.
  • Assist in compiling operational reports to track performance against standards.
  • Be available for emergency callbacks, flexible scheduling, overtime, holidays, and plant shutdowns.
  • Adhere to all safety codes and practices across the facility.
  • Collaborate with facilities support and housekeeping teams to maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.

Role Qualifications

  • Must be 18 years or older
  • High school degree or GED is preferred
  • Trade skills in one or more of the following: welding, electrical, mechanical, HVAC, instrumentation, forklifts, building construction, conveyor
  • Ability to interpret and understand maintenance manuals and electrical equipment blueprints
  • Knowledge and experience in industrial equipment mechanics
  • Ability to work with little to no supervision and in a team setting
  • Maintain acceptable attendance and must be able to work overtime as required  
  • Comprehend and follow work instructions to meet productivity and quality standards

Physical Demands

  • Stand and walk throughout a shift 
  • Climb, balance, kneel, crouch, or crawl for extended periods 
  • Reach, pull, push, and lift freight and other objects of various shapes, sizes, and weights up to 50 pounds 
  • Operate warehouse equipment safely as required for the position (i.e. pallet jack, box cutter, carts) which requires coordinated movements
